Upper Mustang Trek

The Upper Mustang Trek takes you to one of the most restricted and remote regions in Nepal — the ancient Kingdom of Lo. This unique area preserves Tibetan culture largely intact, with its mud-brick cities, ancient monasteries and traditional cave dwellings. The landscape is starkly beautiful: dramatic eroded cliffs, deep gorges and wind-sculpted formations in shades of ochre, red and brown. The trek culminates in Lo Manthang, the walled capital of Mustang, which feels like stepping back centuries in time. This restricted area trek requires a special permit and takes approximately 14-16 days.
